Unter der Leitung von Dr. Jessica Eccles<\/a> erblickte vor Kurzem eine neue spannende Studie zum Forschungsschwerpunkt Hypermobilit\u00e4t und emotionale Verarbeitung das Licht der Welt. Sie liefert Antworten auf eine Frage, die sich der eine oder andere \u00dcberbewegliche von euch vielleicht schon oft gestellt hat: „Bin ich falsch verdrahtet?“<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Hypermobile sind \u00e4ngstlicher und…<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Wie schon in fr\u00fcheren Arbeiten<\/a> dr\u00fcckt uns die Studie „Neural processes linking joint hypermobility and anxiety: Key roles for the amygdala and insular cortex“ von Kampoureli und Kollegen (2025) quasi mit der Nase in die verst\u00e4rkte Reaktivit\u00e4t der Amygdala (aka unser Emotionszentrum) bei \u00e4ngstlichen hypermobilen Personen – was als Hinweis auf eine intensivere Bedrohungsverarbeitung in dieser Gruppe begriffen werden kann.
Es kam allerdings noch etwas hinzu:
Es wurde eine funktionelle Kopplung zwischen Amygdala und und Precuneus festgestellt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was ist denn bitte ein Precuneus? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Der Precuneus ist ein Teil des sogenannten Default Mode Networks. Dieses Netzwerk ist immer dann aktiv, wenn wir nachdenken, wie es uns geht, was andere \u00fcber uns denken, oder wenn wir introspektiv sind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die st\u00e4rkere Vernetzung zwischen Amygdala und Precuneus bei hypermobilen Menschen k\u00f6nnte also erkl\u00e4ren, warum Betroffene emotionale Reize intensiver und st\u00e4rker auf das Selbst bezogen verarbeiten – also nicht einfach nur als potenzielle Bedrohung erkennen, sondern auch st\u00e4rker im Kontext des eigenen Ichs interpretieren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geht das gegen mich?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Das k\u00f6nnte in etwa so aussehen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Geht das gegen mich?“
„Bin ich in Gefahr?“
„Oh Gott, war ich das?“
„Habe ich mich gerade blo\u00dfgestellt?“
„Bin ich falsch verdrahtet?“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diese Art von Verarbeitung ist typisch f\u00fcr Menschen mit gro\u00dfer innerer Unsicherheit, und sie kommt ebenfalls bei Angstst\u00f6rungen vor. Kaum verwunderlich, dass viele hypermobile Menschen damit ihre Schwierigkeiten haben – zumal sie, ohne greifbaren Bezug zu einem m\u00f6glichen Ausl\u00f6ser, gar nicht verstehen, warum sie so empfindsam sind. Betroffene halten sich deshalb oft f\u00fcr „kaputt“ und entwickeln infolgedessen Probleme, mit ihren Gef\u00fchlen umzugehen.
Dabei sitzt die Antwort im Gehirn und lautet:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hypermobile haben besondere Gehirne, mit denen sie Reize nicht nur st\u00e4rker wahrnehmen, sondern sie auch unmittelbarer auf sich selbst beziehen. Das macht sie leider auch psychisch zu wahren Wackelkandidaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
